Adoption of a Local Safety Action Plan and a Complete and Green Streets Policy
We have asked Bergen County to adopt a Local Safety Action Plan (LSAP) and a Complete and Green Streets Policy. The County is now in the process of working with the NJTPA to develop a Local Safety Action Plan, the latest update is that this will be unveiled in June 2025.
As part of this project we have spoken at various municipal meetings throughout Bergen County to push local towns to adopt similar policies. In 2025 we would like to expand these efforts to get more towns on board.
Counties that have adopted resolutions in support of Complete streets include Camden, Essex, Hudson, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Passaic, and Somerset. It is past due for Bergen County to join this list.
